ASTAThe American String Teachers Association OSU Student Chapter is a group for anyone who plays a string instrument or is interested in strings. There are many performing opportunities throughout the community through ASTA as well as professional development trips to the ASTA Conference. Kappa Kappa PsiThe Eta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity at OSU was formed in 1923 to support the bands on our campus. We are the seventh oldest chapter in the nation and the oldest in the NCD. The chapter is dedicated to the principles of service to bands, brotherhood among musicians and leadership on campus. OCMEAThe Ohio Collegiate Music Educator's Association is a great way to get involved in Music Education at OSU. Get to know the Music Education faculty as they speak at meetings and get to travel to the nation's biggest music educators conference, Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago. |
Phi Mu AlphaPMA is a social fraternity devoted to building brotherhood amongst musical students who share a bond created by the love of music. The Beta Xi chapter believes in a strong balance of brotherhood, musical performance, and service. Sigma Alpha IotaSAI is an International Fraternity for Women in Music. Members of SAI are active in many areas of campus music and campus life, and involved with music professionals and patrons. SAI has been a pioneer in supporting music education, performance, and composition in colleges, communities, the nation, and throughout the world. Tau Beta SigmaTBS National Honorary Band Sorority provides service to collegiate bands, encourages the advancement of women in the band profession, and promotes and enriches an appreciation of band music through recognition, leadership development, and education of its members.
